Les Issambres is a very pleasant small town. It has a marina, a sailing centre and a weekly open market. There are restaurants, shops, bakeries, banks and a small supermarket. There are also various golf courses and hypermarkets on the outskirts of town.
The coast along this stretch of the Cote D’Azur is full of long golden sandy beaches. You can take a 20 minute boat ride from the port across the Gulf of St. Tropez to visit famous St Tropez, the capital of see-and-be-seen.
There is a multi-lingual concierge, living on site, to assist you should you encounter any problems during your stay.
LES ISSAMBRES VILLA FOR RENT
Beautiful provencal style villa in small private domain. This delightful terraced property is excellently positioned, south facing and has uninterrupted views of the conservation areas and sea views of the Gulf of St Tropez.
The living room is comfortably furnished to a high standard and tastefully decorated in contemporary decor with designer furniture and light fittings. It includes a satellite TV, audio tape player, radio and stereo system. A sliding door opens onto the south-facing garden. Adjacent to the living room, through another sliding door, is the covered terrace, perfect for enjoying your shady lunches and balmy Mediterranean evenings. The covered terrace also opens out onto the private garden.
The modern kitchen is well equipped with all new, quality appliances inc. dish washer, freezer, fridge, grill, hob, microwave and oven. The small utility room has a washing machine for your use.
There is a lovely shared pool which is large and kidney shaped; despite its communal nature, the pool is rarely crowded due to the fact that many of the other properties are seldom occupied. Pool furniture is supplied and there is also a pool house surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds .
This gated domain, Les Colombelles, is newly constructed and ideally situated on the sunny and tranquil hillside of Les Issambres. The exteriors of each house in Les Colombelles are unique and were designed by the same architects who built Port Grimaud, (which is one of the area’s main tourist attractions). It is only 5 minutes drive from the golden sandy beaches, shops, restaurants and other local amenities of the town and within easy reach of all the major resorts of the Cote d'Azur.
RENTAL ACCOMMODATION
- Master bedroom: has a king size bed, bedside cabinets and lamps, double chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe, en-suite shower, basin and toilet. It is south facing with French doors leading onto a beautiful terrace, planted with vines and jasmines. It is the ideal place for dining al fresco in the early morning/late evening sun with a stunning backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea.
- Second double bedroom: is adjacent to the master bedroom. It has twin beds, bedside cabinet, a built-in wardrobe and small cabinet.
- Third double bedroom: has twin beds, bedside cabinet, bedside table lamp, single chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe.
- There is a separate bathroom with basin and bath with shower unit, and there is another toilet on the ground floor.
LES ISSAMBRES TOURIST INFORMATION
Don’t miss out on the local village markets in St-Tropez, Port Grimaud, Grimaud, Cogolin, and La Garde Freinet. These markets sell locally produced foods, clothing and handicrafts. The Massif des Maures, with their deep forests of pines, chestnuts and cork is just a short drive inland from Les Colombelles
There are plenty of activities available such as, diving, sailing, golf (two 18 hole courses), cycling, hiking, fishing, riding, mountain biking, and even a casino. There is also the famous Aqualand water park, an absolute ‘must’ for the kids. The nearest hypermarket, is located on the outskirts of Ste Maxime. Boutiques and designer shops can be found in Ste Maxime, Port Grimaud and St Tropez. There are also numerous picturesque villages such as Roquebrune-sur-Argens and Gaassin, which are well worth a visit.
Finally, for the wine lovers, there are plenty of châteaux, vineyards and wine shops owned by the producers where you can deguster and fill up your car with your local favourites.
