French Alps ski chalet rental accommodation in beautiful Alpine Morzine. The chalet is vibrant, the ensuite rooms are luxurious, and the Portes du Soleil scenery, skiing and boarding is spectacular. Summer chalet accommodation in Morzine offers access to a wide range of healthy outdoor activities including mountain biking, hiking, golf and swimming in the lake.

Owned and operated by 3 dedicated Freeriders, and the fresh, vibrant chalet reflects their spirit. This is not your ordinary run-of-the-mill chalet accommodation - it' stylish, cosy and cool.

THE CHALET ACCOMMODATION

The ski chalet is traditional in design, but fresh and inspired within. The open plan lounge offers maximum relaxation, with comfy sofas, giant cushions, a large plasma screen with an extensive selection of DVDs, and internet access. The bar is fully stocked with chilled beers and spirits, cocktail shakers and shot glasses - and it can be raided any time of the day or night!! Chill out with a drink on the terrace - which includes hammocks - and capture those alpine sun rays throughout the day.

Bedrooms

All seven bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and have been styled based upon different themes from around the world. There is a TV/DVD/CD player in every room.

Food

Food is often makes the difference between a good or bad holiday. We believe that meal times are central to our chalet's social scene and therefore should be savoured and enjoyed. Naturally, all our food fits with our ethos – fresh, original, healthy and of the highest quality.

MORZINE ~ PORTES DU SOLEIL

The chalet is situated 5 minutes drive from the centre of Morzine, at the bottom of the Prodains ski lift - the fastest link to Avoriax - and is surrounded by a selection of après ski bars and restaurants.
In Winter, the Navette snow bus runs into the centre of Morzine every 5 mins between 7am-7pm.

GETTING TO MORZINE FROM GENEVA OR BY FERRY

By Air

Morzine is only a 1 hour transfer from Geneva. Geneva Airport is serviced by Easyjet, British Airways and Bmibaby. You can also fly to Lyon with Easyjet, British Airways and Flybe (Transfer supplements apply from Lyon, estimated transfer time is 3.5 hours)

By Car

If you prefer to travel by car, the journey from Calais is only around 9 hours.

ACTIVITIES

Mountain biking or hiking

The Portes du Soleil offers world class mountain biking and hiking in the Summer months. Over 380km of mountain bike trails criss-cross the French and Swiss Alps, with cross-country courses and the World Cup down hill run. 24 lifts provide good access to the mountains for mountain bikers and hikers. Morzine frequently hosts World Rally championships and is a regular venue on the Tour de France.

Extreme sports

For the even more adventurous, there is kayaking, white water rafting and the climbing offered by the challenging faces of the Aguille du Midi. Bungee jumping is available in Grenoble and the skate park has a huge half pipe, a rideable quarter pipe and a range of skate obstacles on beautifully smooth tarmac, perfect for practising your kick flips! The chalet has a selection of Lindsell Custom skate boards available for guests to use.

Relaxing alternatives

The woodlands, lakes, cascading falls and traditional alpine villages have much to offer those who enjoy hiking and rambling (tramping - as its known in New Zealand!). The reward for a little exertion is fine local cuisine, rustic bars and a warm welcoming atmosphere. The Proclou plateau even has a golf course, with views of the Haut-Chablais summits.

Morzine has a wealth of sports and recreation facility, including tennis courts, squash, a fully equipped gym, sauna, solarium, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, as well as a choice of fitness classes. Add to this the many festivals that take place throughout the year, and it adds up to a wonderful holiday destination.

The chalet owners can organise activities to help you make the most of your stay.

For Mountain Bike B&B

Mountain bikers can stay on a B & B basis making use of the fully equipped on-site workshop for bike maintenance and repairs. Our chalet host will provide you with trail maps and will run a back up vehicle service so that if you decide upon a trail which starts/finishes on the outskirts of Morzine or in Les Gets you can be dropped off/picked up upon request. After a hard day's biking, you can enjoy a barbeque on the balcony, cook a hearty meal in our well equipped kitchen or head into the town of Morzine.

• Back up vehicle for drop offs/pick ups between 8:30 – 9:30am and 4:30 – 5:30pm
